Greetings,

What a wonderful time of year to look for new life from God.  Think about the word "revival".  It means, "to make to live again, to have new life".

Thank God for the multiple revivals of the past where His Holy Spirit has breathed fresh life and truth to His people.  Join us in asking God to make 2011 a year of revival!

Looking for "Revival"

Marion-2006
Our God is a God of reviving.  His Word begins with revival and concludes with revival.

Note the key points of prayer and declaration from Psalm 85:4-9.

  • Restore us.
  • Revive us again.
  • Your people may rejoice in you.
  • Show us you mercy.
  • Grant us your salvation.
  • Hear what God, the Lord, will speak.
  • He will speak peace to His saints.
  • Do not turn back to folly.
  • His salvation is near to those who fear Him.
  • His glory will dwell in our land.
  • Truth will spring out of the earth.
  • Righteousness will look down from heaven.
  • The Lord will give with is good.
  • Our land will yield its increase.
  • Righteousness will go before Him.
  • His footsteps will be our pathway.

Our text is a passionate cry from the psalmist for revival.  He cries out, "restore us, revive us again, cause us to rejoice in you.  Make your mercy known and enable us to experience salvation and victory.  We are listening to you.  We fear you and know it is your passion and purpose to fill our land with your glory.  We trust in your mercy, truth and righteousness.  We desire to walk in your footsteps."

Reading these passionate words of the sons of Korah caused my heart to begin to join in their song and its message for our generations.  Will you join in?  Without question we need a new song of faith, love and expectation at this season.  The choir of saints, singing a song of hope, must be louder than the negative voices of this generation.

God is alive.  His church should also be alive.

We can see His promise that "the earth is filled with His glory."  His church is filled with His presence, so let us sing, "our God Reigns".

Please join in!

May God bless you as you give yourself to the purposes of His Kingdom!
