"We have known Petersons for over 47 years and their life and ministry has been 100% committed to Christ. I recommend them for their anointed teaching, accurate prophecy and life-giving ministry."

THE RIGHT WAY!

Proverbs 14:1 - "The "house" of the wicked will be overthrown, but the "tent" of the upright will flourish."

"There is a way that seems right to a man, but the end is the way of death." Proverbs 14:12 "There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death." Proverbs 16:25

Twice in this section of the Proverbs we are drawn to this principle. Not all that seems good is good! We are cautioned: All that may look and feel good is not necessarily good and in the end can lead to spiritual death and in some cases physical death.

Consider the original sin, brought about by the serpent deceiving Eve in the original garden. Notice Lucifer's communication with Eve. By the way, what was she doing listening to and talking with him? The rest is history!

To Eve, satan's deception sounded good! Notice Genesis 3:6 - When the woman saw that the tree was:

  • Good for food
  • Pleasant to the eyes
  • Desirable to make one wise

She took of its fruit and ate. She gave it to her husband and he ate. The serpent was cursed, Adam and Eve were judged. All of this because of disobedience to the commands of the Lord, which of course was a choice to go the wrong way - "the way that seems right to a man"

Consider Israel, God's covenant people who over and over again made serious wrong choices. We could make a long list just from the records in the Bible. We see this repeated in the history of the early church and again our life time.

Today there is a way that seems right to our generation; sin, disobedience, making wrong choices because it looks good, feels good and everyone is doing it! These choices are extremely dangerous!

"The house of the wicked will be overthrown!"

BUT -

"The tent of the upright will flourish!"

I thank God that anyone who desires to can be in the "tent of the upright"! I am so thankful for God's word and for His presence in the person of the Holy Sprit along with His family, the Church. We make the choice, to go the way that seems right in our flesh or to go His way and flourish in the "courts of righteousness." We must guard against making "our belly" our god, seeking only that which is pleasant to our natural desires and striving to be wise in the concepts of the world's mind. Jesus declared, "I will build my church and the gates of Hell will not prevail against it." Jesus gave His life for the Church, He loves His Church, His Bride.

The Church will flourish - even in a "perverse" generation of wickedness. There is a people, His Church, His bride that is living His lifestyle, in obedience to God's word, that is flourishing with His supply of "joy in the Holy Ghost." When Jesus returns His Church will be glorious, without spot or wrinkle - healthy and strong ready to reign with Him forever.

Our challenge is to abide in His "tent" - by His principles, His rules, and find ourselves flourishing! We will thank God for His way - the RIGHT WAY for all eternity as we live with Him in the place He has prepared for us - FOREVER!
