Another Church Crisis?

Perhaps this is a reminder of our real needs!

My heart was broken as I read an article "Crisis in the Church, is marriage still sacred?"  I am shocked by the statistics given, that from within the church and it's ministries, so many many marriages are  ending in divorce!  May God help us!!  I have no desire to to be offensive but rather to declare that God's way still works.  If we follow His Word, believe His teachings, and live by His principles, He will bless our marriage, ministry and family.

I am certain you would know that life has not been a "bowl of cherries" for Marion and me!  We have faced many challenges and complicated circumstances as a couple and in our service for the Lord.  Our testimony is He has been our anchor, He has been our strength and a very present help in times of testing and trouble.  When we call upon Him, He is always there.  His grace is sufficient.  His Word is all powerful.  His love is a constant source of encouragement and strength.  We are always able to call upon Him and He will lift us up.

Though these thoughts are not centered on the nations and missions, they are so important to the cause of world harvest at home and abroad  because "if the righteous scarcely be saved, where will the ungodly and sinner appear?" (1 Peter 1:18)  My heart is heavy.  My spirit is stirred.  My emotions are troubled.  My passion for God, His church and His people is renewed.  My cry is "it is time for you to act, O Lord, for they have regarded your law as void.  Therefore I love Your commandments more than gold, yes fine gold!  Therefore, all Your precepts concerning all things I consider to be right: I hate every false way." (Psalm 119:126-129)

It is time for God to move again by His Holy Spirit.  It is time for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Ghost.  It is time for the church of the living God to arise and cry out to Him until "He comes and rains righteousness upon you.  You have plowed wickedness; you have reaped iniquity, you have eaten the fruit of lies,because you trusted your own way, in the multitude of your mighty men." (Hosea 10:12-13)

My passion is for a renewed fire of God, a fresh Pentecost, a new anointing, a hunger and thirsting after God and His word that will cause His glory to be seen in His church and among His disciples.  May His ministers arise and take their rightful place between the "porch and the altar" (Joel 2:17)  May He visit His vine, the church, with His power and righteousness, and may all nations see His glory!  We are called to make a difference, to be a light in the darkness, to be endued with power from on high, to see signs following the preaching of the word of God  until He comes to take us to be with Him either by way of the grave or at His glorious appearing at the time of His return.

We must jointly commit ourselves to this purpose in prayer and obedience.  Marion and I will.  Will you join us?  God will be faithful to respond to what He has called forth in us!
