"The Petersons gave the best years of their ministry to us in Uganda. They walked and lived with us, loved us, taught us to move in the Spirit and to understand sound doctrine. Uganda owes a great debt to them."

Uganda Anniversary: Responses

Prayer is not for getting man's will done in heaven.

It is for getting God's will done on earth!
Uganda Anniversary November 2010
Marion-2006

Greetings,

Our lives have been full of God's blessings and we are so THANKFUL.  We look back to what He has done, forward to what He will do and are living in what He is doing!  We rejoice in it all! Together in His service,

Marion Peterson

Thanks for the Past!

We are THANKFUL for our years of pastoring and traveling ministry in Canada, the U.S.A. and other nations including our years in Uganda - may we share a few words from Uganda that came recently in an email - remembering our past ("Mum and Dad" refers to Lew and me):

Joseph:

Dear Mum and Dad, I just want to thank you both for obeying God's voice to come to Uganda and plant Godly seeds in us. When you talk about a renewed Passion for Missions, I know exactly what you mean. That is exactly who you were and still are even today. WOOOO!!! Your blood is MISSIONS. I pray that that same zeal and passion will be upon your sons and daughters you raised. Looking forward to being with you in the Conference, I love you and always very thankful for all you invested in us, Rejoice, there is a strong trail behind you. Your Mission time was properly used with good fruit and Winnie, I (Joseph) as well as many others I know here say...

Anna:

Hi, Dad and Mum.  Thanks for the labor you put in the work of Christ. I am a fruit of your labor. You did not labor in vain. I pray that the good Lord will reward and refresh you

Harriet Magambo:

I always remember you as my dear parents.  Thank you for the love and your very lives you poured out for us and on us.  Peter and I are what we are because of your coming to Uganda.  May the Lord bless you abundantly.

Francis:

I want you, Dad and Mum, to know that I have precious memories of you. The way you raised and inspired so many of us to love and serve Christ. I remember before you left in 1997, you, Pastor Marion, specifically told me that you wanted to find me teaching in the Institute the next time you came back. Since then I have always taught. The ministry is growing from Glory to Glory because of the foundation you laid. I will always be grateful and God will reward you.

Grandma Flo:

Pastor's Marion and Peterson, thank you for loving me. May the Lord bless you and give you more years as He did to Hezekiah.  Greet my Mari Lou and family - I love you all.

Boaz and Faith:

Praise be to God dear Pastors'. First of all I want to give thanks to the Lord God almighty for sending you to us.  We are all doing well.  We have three sons now.  From my childhood (Boaz) you raised me and as a teen showed Faith the way to Jesus - we will never forget. We wish you a great time of love during this season and our prayer is that God will richly bless and prosper you as you continue with the Great Commission that is our heritage and destiny.
 Thanks for the Present!

GOOD NEWS!!!

We are THANKFUL for what He is doing today:

At last - after years of inspiration and work, Lew's book, "It's Still the Cross" is ready for pre-orders.  Watch for the date of its release and the "how to" order - soon!

In the Institute of Biblical Studies, we have re-organized and updated the TRAKS system.  This is a series of classes that introduces and enables new folk to understand the DNA of Life Center so they can grow in the knowledge and grace of Jesus Christ.  Teaching and training new teachers is such a joy - appreciate your prayers.

We are looking for salvation and healing for our sister-in-law, Dorothy Peterson who has been given two months to live. She has been battling throat cancer for some time.  Thank you for joining us in prayer.
 Thanks for the Future!

We are THANKFUL in anticipation for what He is going to do in our future:

WHAT DO YOU SEE?

I  Kings 18:41

Elijah saw something his servant couldn't see, heard a sound his servant couldn't hear.  At the word of Elijah in judgment from God for Ahab's idolatry there came famine in the land, the circumstances were very real.  The widow woman with her son was ready to give up and die, the prophets of Baal were desperate to end the famine, Ahab would not admit his sin and set out prove his idolatry but Elijah proves to all that - "The Lord, He is God!"   He declared to Ahab what he heard - "there is a sound of abundance of rain!"  He sent his servant to look toward the sea.  What do you see?  NOTHING!  "Go again" he said over and over. STILL NOTHING!!  Then after seven times, "there is a cloud the size of a man's hand".  And Elijah said - RUN!!  Tell Ahab to get a move on before he gets his chariot stuck in the mud!

What do you see?  What do you hear?  God is in control.  He has already sent the answer to your famine.  See it!  Look above the circumstances.  Do you see the answer coming? Do you hear it?  It is already on its way.  See the positive promises of God.  It might be small but it will grow into a full blown answer.  SEE IT!  Let your faith arise within you and see it coming.  It is yours!

"Jesus, I pray for everyone who is reading this email.  I pray we will hear the sound of your spirit as we look above our circumstances and see the answer to our need on its way."
